Destination Learning in the Isle of Man

Marketing students from across the globe, including students from India, China, Taiwan, Pakistan, Italy and Cyprus enjoyed the experience of a twin destination marketing residential programme.

In Liverpool they all participated in a team building event at the world famous and iconic Cavern Club. They also learnt about the development and promotion of the Liverpool city region. The programme attracted high level speakers from the region's Economic Development, Inward Investment and Tourism Agency, The Mersey Partnership.

There was also high level input from Shiverpool Tours, Glow New Media, Sefton Tourism Department and England's Golf Coast where the subjects of Tourism and Digital Marketing were explored in greater depth.

The high quality educational input continued on the the Isle of Man with assistance from the Isle of Man Government. The students were treated to an insight into the country's "Freedom to Flourish" country campaign, and thier film, financial services, and space commerce industries.

The students also enjoyed a presentation about the island's annual TT races and actually experienced the TT course themselves enjoying a spin around the circuit on a coach with home grown TT rider Conor Cummins. He gave the students a personal perspective on what it is like to ride in the race.
