Paul Mullins graduated from the University of North London in 1995 with a BA (Hons) in Leisure and Tourism Management.

After a brief spell as a freelance tour guide Paul embarked on a career in Destination Management. From 1996 to 2008 he was a driving force behind the development of Liverpool as an international visitor and business tourism destination.

Working for the Liverpool City Region's Tourist Board, Paul was involved with strategic planning, workforce and business development, collaborative projects - working in concert with Manchester on the 2002 Commonwealth Games, and with Liverpool on its 2008 European Capital of Culture bid.

From 2005 to 2008 he created the business model for Liverpool's Convention Bureau which was responsible for handling and managing large events and conferences coming to the city such as the Liberal Democrats Spring Conference, The World Fire Fighter Games and the MTV European Music awards.

He also established Liverpool City Region's Tourist Board's commercial tourism arm which specialised in creating joint ventures with the city's private sector tourism businesses. Paul left the Liverpool Tourist Board at the end of December 2008 to set up Destination Learning.

They have both made a significant contribution to creating a hugely successfull Beatles visitor experience in their home town city.

Their business interests include, The Cavern Club, The Cavern Pub, The Magical Mystery Tour and the Annual International Beatles Convention.

They were the brainchild behind the Hard Days Night Hotel, the world's first Beatle themed hotel and the Mathew Street Festival which has grown into Europe's largest free open air popular music festival, regularly attracting over 400,000 visitors to the city every August Bank Holiday weekend.
